How Can heavy Painful Menstruation Be Treated?

Hi, im turning 42 this year. My monthly period since November last year was heavy, painful , and im having period 2x a month. This month, I had my period feb 2 and feb 16 until now. and its more painful and heavier . what causes this things? is it my age? is it menopausal process? thanks

Hi, I think it can be perimenopausal symptom. But do check your thyroid profile and prolactin levels. Also do a ultrasound to see uterus and ovaries. If everything is fine, you can take some medicines like Tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding. Discuss with your doctor regarding this. Hope I have answered your question.
